Looking at dynamical accretion flows in high-mass star-forming regions.

In summer 2019 I completed a paid Internship at the University of Kent with Dr James Urquhart. The project for the internship was titled ‘Determining the statistical lifetimes of high mass stars’. During this project I classified over 3000 stellar objects using multiwavelength data from HiGAL and GLIMPSE. Python was used for graphical analysis of the classification groups, and wrote up my final report in LaTeX, using Overleaf. This work is in the process of being written up for publication. This internship taught me more about star formation and the classification processes and gave me new skills such as databasing, using SequelPro. I really enjoyed the project and it helped me decide that star formation is an area of research in I would pursue a research career in.

My role was to run the kitchen, preparing and serving the orders throughout the day, along with food preparation for the next day, and the week ahead, including placing food orders with suppliers and taking inventory of stock.
