(Associate Developer, BI continued)• Work closely with Senior BI Developers and Lead Architects for solid structure or logic assistance when seasoned experience is needed.• Assist management in problem solving inconsistent data by building ad hoc reports for comparisons.• Assist in carving out smaller tasks to tackle in order to complete them for a finished User Story.• Build dashboard reports which include automated outgoing emails to send the report to the entire Executive team.• Create documentation to present proof of concepts to management for efficient processes, migrations and dashboards.

• Create/Alter/Design/Integrate/Implement schemas, databases, tables, stored procedures, indexes, primary/foreign keys, views, functions. (MS SQL SERVER 2012)• Troubleshoot database code issues and implement corrections to discovered errors.• Work closely with Project Management, business managers or executives to ensure all requirements are being met with proper time management and developmental QA practices before moving to production. This would include specified database access and structure for fully functional capability of the project.• Advise management on problems or priorities while making recommendations on strategy and long-term database needs.• Create and maintain SSRS reports as specified by Project Management or business management. Including automated email configurations, management and security.• Monitor reports and job statuses for failures on a daily basis, then report known failures for investigation.• Initiate and perform production changes on production systems.• Utilize Visual Studio 2010 for code check in via source control - TFS (Team Foundation Server) for work regarding User Stories and Tasks. This would include loading created tables and/or cleaning data for such purposes.

• Maintaining accounting databases in a secure SQL 2008 environment while supporting pertaining BI services. Troubleshoot database issues. Apply patches and upgrades to SQL Server installations.• Run any scripts that were pertinent in the maintenance, transitions, and upgrades of databases. • Manage database backups and restoring backups of databases.• Perform full upgrades, re-installation, patching to third party accounting software where backups would need to be performed of databases, restore databases to full functionality. Sometimes migration was necessary in the event of hardware or resource changes• Review, optimize and deploy database change scripts that would handle the updating of the SQL databases involved. This would also include properly communicating and scheduling down time for any work to be done during or after business hours. Third party vendor scripts would always have to be reviewed and updated to correct any differences for compatibility of our environment. Other times scripts would come from internal IT staff.• Installing SSMS for end users, set them up with the proper security access and connecting them to the proper database engine.• Set up and, maintained connections for our HR Director and Senior Financial Analyst with access to ADP (Payroll) and UNUM (Employee Assistance Program) applications, managed the access to those connecting SQL databases. All with the utmost importance placed on proper security, audit and internal company production requirements while maintaining deadlines and documentation of these processes due to sensitive data or regulations.• Use of third party backup systems which were used to backup drives and restore data via our tape system. This would include working with our off site tape vendor to manage tape movement for proper backup control when sending and receiving backup tapes when restore jobs were needing to be processed.• Plus much more
