In my role as Business Services Manager at LSA my primary responsibility is to drive operational excellence, systems, and payroll processes. I manage a team of 6, made up of the Payroll Team and Business Operations.The role is primarily a strategic one however I will jump in the trenches with the payroll team to ensure that everyone is paid correctly and in a timely manner whenever the team needs me to.I have very high exposure to the management and interpretation of Industrial Awards, something I have done throughout my career. Currently my team deliver payroll across more than 40 awards and many more EBA’s. My payroll team currently oversea a weekly payroll in excess of 2 millions dollars to more than 2000 workers.I am extensively involved with the PALM (Pacific Australia Labour Mobility) scheme ensure our workers are paid correctly and all legislative requirements are met.Reporting plays an important part of my role, and I am constantly looking at ways to drive business excellence via the development and implementation of reporting.
