With over 25 years of progressive experience and accomplishments as an educator and leader, I am passionate about improving public schools by working with equity officers and leaders of color. I hold an Ed.D. in Organizational Change and Leadership from USC Rossier School of Education. I have published multiple articles on equity and liberation in education, authored, "Leading Within Systems of Inequity in Education: A Liberation Guide for Leaders of Color” and am writing a second book focused on building political acumen.As the Founder of Leading-Within, LLC, I advocate for and support diversity, equity, and inclusion leaders in K12 education in their daily practice, support education leaders of color to strengthen their political acumen, develop and write tools and resources for educators and write/edit journal articles documenting teaching and learning best practices across the diaspora.
