MONITORING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF WATER AND SANITATION THROUGH SUB GURANTEES(NGO’S) IDENTIFIED FOR ALL IEC & HRD, THROUGH COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION

Currently supporting in strengthening institutional and capacity building of implementation agencies in Jharkhand, focusing on communication and capacity development needs, and scale-up successful approaches, at State-level the potential of partnerships with Civil Society is ensured, coordinating with various Government departments and the Private sector

•Implementing the IEC & HRD activities for State Water and Sanitation Mission.•Coordinating with partner organizations like UNICEF, WATER AID for formulation of State Communication and Advocacy Strategy with Templates for State, District, Block and GP level IEC /BCC for Sanitation Hygiene and Drinking Water.•Plan and organize BCC Workshops at State level for Communication Personnel of District.•Assisted states in organizing three days long BCC workshops with arrangement of Resource Persons and presented before state and district level functionaries.• Supervised regular and monthly up-loading of data on execution of IEC activities and fund utilization at districts, blocks, GPs levels.•Analyze and monitor the status of implementation of IEC Activities and fund utilization for IEC, against the target fixed by the states during the submission of Annual Action Plan in the beginning of the financial year, for advising the lagging states for improvement and assisting the state for improvement.•Coordinated with the Department of Health , Department of Women and Child Development for convergence for dissemination of messages on Sanitation ,Hygiene and Safe Drinking water through grass root level workers of respective departments like ASHA ,ANM and Anganwadi workers ,wrokers of Sarva Sikhsa Mission in addition of “Swachhata Doot” the grass root level workers for NRDWP and Total Sanitation Campaign(TSC)(presently Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan-NBA) •Formulated State Media Plan for dissemination of messages through electronic mass media (Radio & TV Channels) and new media (SMS) for reaching out target audience of rural areas across India.•Coordinated with Doordarshan and AIR and produced Radio and TV Spots on Sanitation, Hygiene and Safe Drinking Water.

State Level Position

Developed all plans regarding IEC/HRD and district programmes and helping out the district in all affairs with state requirement and implementation of the WASH programme with PHED

•Preparation of annual action plan for TSC and Swajaldhara•Identification of NGOs and other partners with facilitation from UNICEF and SWSM /DWSC.•Organize and facilitate orientation workshop for district team and NGO partners on TSC, SSHE and Swajaldhara.•Organize Block Level orientation workshops•Support DWSC in establishing regular monitoring, reliable data collection and reporting system•Organize awareness campaign on TSC, Swajaldhara among PRIs VWSC and block level officials.• Organize mason training in different blocks and assure availability of rural toilet pans at block Level and district level.•Coordinate with NGO partners and others in the implementation of TSC, Swajaldhara, ASHA and VHSC •Coordinate with DDC and Executive Engineer and DEO/DPC and other key Govt. officials.•Develop data base of the district.•Facilitate the district level meeting and prepare minutes of meetings.•Organize training and IEC activity as per annual action plan.•Ensure availability of Pans, establishment of pan banks, mini production center in the district, opening of RSM.Preparation of case study and other documentation work.
