Responsible for defining and implementing a global technology strategy, analysing and overseeing the multi-million dollar IT expenditure, researching and developing new and existing systems, and recruitment, close management and leadership of IT staff across the 11 offices within this high-profile design agency. Close working relationships were developed with fellow member agencies of the Branding To Design segment of WPP, as well as other companies in the WPP network and beyond.Projects:• Microsoft Exchange 2012 Mail Migration – planned, prepared and migrated 11 worldwide offices from costly externally hosted mail to an internally hosted Exchange solution, complemented by a cloud archiving solution.• Creation and implementation of IT governance policy in accordance with WPP and Sarbanes-Oxley frameworks.• CRM – Enhancement of the Salesforce implementation and usage across the network including development of customised functionality and reporting, and integration of email marketing tools – Silverpop Engage.• Technical projects included global implementation of a video conferencing system, secure WiFi networks, a Large File Transfer system, redesign of both the intranet and corporate website.

This global role required development and management of core IT and business systems within this leading advertising agency with more than 200 offices in 90 countries. The role involved the development of business systems, including the JWT intranet and client intranet and extranet sites, in conjunction with internal and external developers using a combination of Iterative and Agile methodologies. Successful qualifications attained included PRINCE2 Practitioner, IPA Advertising, and Search studies. The role demanded close working relationships and regular interaction with board members, regional and local JWT staff, fellow WPP operating companies, and international vendors.Projects:• BPOS Mail Migration – The EMEA region of this multi-million dollar project, completed in three months, the planning, preparation and migration of 46 offices in 26 markets from Lotus Notes mail to a hosted Exchange solution in the cloud. Performed in collaboration with Microsoft and a third-party vendor.• Post-migration Domino Decommissioning – Strategy planning, testing, and co-ordination and processing of archived Lotus Notes data moved to Amazon cloud storage. Scheduling replacement of legacy Domino applications and Domino server decommissioning across EMEA and APAC regions. • YouSendIt Enterprise Suite – Planning, testing and integration of this large file transfer product suite into the global JWT infrastructure. • Worldwide Creative Review – Planning and executing technical requirements for the quarterly JWT Global Creative Council meetings to analyse all creative content produced around the global network. Responsible for content collection, quality checking and hosting of all submissions prior to travel. All creative content was then presented, scored, and results collated using a bespoke system.
