Monument Lab is a public art and history studio based in Philadelphia. Monument Lab works with artists, students, educators, activists, municipal agencies, and cultural institutions on participatory approaches to public engagement and collective memory.I produced the Monument Lab podcast and consult and work on many of the technical projects that Monument Lab is involved in.Oversaw all sound-related projects for Monument Lab 2017 and, more specifically, for “Logan Squared: Ode to Philly” by world-renown sound artist Emeka Ogboh and “Sample Philly” by video artist and photographer Kara Crombie.• “Logan Squared: Ode to Philly” – An multi-channel outdoor sound art installation concept by Emeka Ogboh located on the terrace of the Free Public Library of Philadelphia on 19th and Vine Streeto Coordinated the recording and arrangement of an orchestral composition for a 12-member choir and award-winning Philadelphia poet, Ursula Rucker.o Designed, sourced, and built a mobile 36 speaker sound installation at the Free Public Library of Philadelphiao Designed and built solar powered listening stations to play the “Logan Squared” composition in Logan Square and Aviator Park• “Sample Philly” – An outdoor art installation concept by Kara Crombie located at Franklin Square Park where visitors can create their own songs by using sound clips from Philadelphia based musicians. o Collected and edited clips of previously released songs as well as solicited submissions from local Philadelphia artists for use in the installation. o Assisted with the design and procured materials for the construction of the kiosk and hardware interface.o Managed interface programmer to build and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
