Day to day management of design teams supporting consumer product development including broadband & TV services and supporting the Digital roadmap.Worked alongside a small group of other design/architecture managers to transition from a large base of 40+ independent and agency contractors through to a full dual vendor managed services partnership with Tata Consultancy Services & Tech Mahindra, including RFP, selection, planning, creating and executing a near full time six week induction training course and orchestrate handovers from the incumbents to the new team, remotely during the Coronavirus "lockdown" restrictions of 2020 while continuing to manage the incumbent team, with the new team and a new set of management processes taking effect from August 2020, Ongoing support and management of the team and provision of ad hoc consultancy to technical and commercial stakeholders in collaboration with strategic architecture. Provision of day to day support to the solution architecture team members at project level plus quality assurance and representation and support within exec steering committees as required.

Consumer broadband: Speed increases and upgrades programme 2013-2017, incl introduction of new data usage monitoring and policy enforcement platform (based on CableLabs PCMM2.0 QoS Architecture) plus integration through OSS/BSS stacks. IPv6 connectivity with DS-Lite, DNS64/NAT64 & 464XLAT transition approaches. Full technology stack integration post-acquisition of a small cable opco, incl migration of 3-play customer services from previous operator to our own.Overall design team lead for VOIP telephony services, 2017 to 2020, managing a team of varying from 6-12 people over the duration and acting as a single point of contact for both design engagement, escalation and providing technical consultancy as and when required.

DTV platform development - EPG & interactive services (SeaChange/Liberate, DVB-C) for "V-Box" (standard STB) & "V+" (PVR STB). Red button apps (incl BBC Olympics 2012 live event navigation for Cable & proof of concept/application framework design and implementation for Sky Sports Interactive), other interactive services, video on demand, introduction of search & recommendation technologies, J2EE server applications & systems integration. TiVo applications, logging solutions for business intelligence, metadata analysis & quality assurance tools.

Development of new systems for internal operations including workflow management tools and 128 channel fault/level monitoring system with logging & reporting functionality.

Maintenance & day to day operational support for internally owned channels (WRN Europe, WRN Français, WRN Deutsch, Всемирная Радиосеть, صوت العالم) plus DVB encoding and multiplexing for digital radio & television services via satellite & terrestrial circuits (G.703 / DVB over IP). Clients included RRSat Global Communications, Pittsburgh International Telecommunications, USEN 440 (Japan), Worldspace Inc, Virgin Radio (SMG), Somethin' Else Productions, YLE, SVT.

Design & specification of radio broadcast & recording facilities for stations in the UK and Africa - studios, FM & AM transmission, internet streaming, production & presentation training. UK clients included LiteFM Peterborough, Cambridge Red, Galaxy 105 (Leeds), Oxygen 107.7 (Oxford), Flextech Television, Soho Studios. Overseas clients included East FM (Nairobi), Tuff Gong Studios, Jamaica.
