Leveraging my extensive experience in radio, podcasting, events, and communications, I have successfully developed and implemented effective strategies to engage audiences, drive results, and create lasting impact.My journey working in prisons began at Aylesbury Young Offenders (HMP YOI Aylesbury), where I discovered the power of communication via radio to bridge divides and foster understanding. Since 2008, I've played a pivotal role in developing and managing prison radio and television projects, helping to teach prisoners valuable skills and improve their lives, while also creating radio that empowers listeners.At HMP Wandsworth, I led the award-winning Radio Wanno, teaching prisoners to read, write, use computers, and produce high-quality radio content. Under my leadership, the station won multiple awards, including Radio Academy Station of the Year and The Butler Trust Award. The station had a regular weekly reach of approx 76%. listeningBeyond radio, I have a strong background in broadcast media and corporate communications, achieving a postgraduate degree and implementing a successful communication model recognised by HM Inspectorate of Prisons and the Independent Monitoring Board.I am passionate about using communication to empower individuals and drive positive change. I have helped countless people develop their communication skills through one-on-one coaching and my podcast, "Radio Skills for Podcasters."In addition to my professional experience, I am a dedicated community advocate, having volunteered at director level with a non-profit to launch a community radio station in Maidstone, Kent.
