About Michael Longoria, P.E.
For over a decade, I have had the privilege to work with the largest transmission owners, system operators and generation developers globally. As an electric transmission engineer and consultant, I have had the opportunity to start my engineering career with a major investor-owned utility, where I gained a practical understanding of transmission infrastructure and the challenges of the energy transition. I followed that by joining an innovative power flow control technology provider, where I was able to help drive forward transmission solutions to aid in integrating renewable generation. I am now pleased to be part of the Nira Energy team and work directly with renewable developers to take a "transmission first" approach to the interconnection queue. The Nira team comprises experienced transmission planners and world-class software engineers focused on expediting the integration of solar, wind, and energy storage projects. The Nira platform was built for power generation developers to gain unparalleled access to transmission power system study results at every interconnection point on the grid. Reach out if you want to learn more about leveraging the Nira platform to navigate the interconnection queue more successfully.
