Worked with the Leading Edge team in the School of Engineering on developing an oscillating hydrofoil device for harvesting energy from tidal and river flows with funding from the Neal Mitchell - Systems Thinking Project Award. My focus included data acquisition and processing with particular consideration of the open, wet testing environment and the high volume of data. I worked to ensure data is properly and reliably recorded, stored, and updated live for continuous testing; built a system for cable routing and protection from salt water and heat; and contributed to data processing to inform future testing.-Built data acquisition system for 2kW prototype device: affixed instrumentation, built waterproof routing system, wrote control code-Wrote and implemented post-processing routines for data using MATLAB-Wrote thorough documentation for system components and post-processing routines
