My achievements within this committee: - Brought forward the curricula that was ultimately adopted - Helped with negotiations for the adoption to include a capital investment in every Physics classroom, so that all classrooms would have the same equipment , which allows for better cross school site collaboration. - Helped to show how the curricula aligned to the NGSS and the Physics of the Universe course, despite the curricula not being formatted in the preferred inquiry/PQM style.

As committee, was lead the discussions in the larger group, helped in the writing of the courses including planning out the instructional segment sequence, and recommended labs. We also development a professional development training day that would bring all the science teachers who had not been part of the course creation committee up to speed on the changes to the courses and the expectations. In this committee, I utilized my background in Earth and Space science to help both the Biology and Physics subgroups plan curriculum around the earth Science standards that are being integrated into the courses.
