Managed homeroom duties of Eighth grade, teaching of algebra, literature, writing, and theater arts, including creation of lesson plans, professional development, communication with parents, assessment of students, attending staff meetings, participating in creation of WASC document as well as being on a WASC visiting team, writing of high school recommendations, and coordinating field trips, retreats, and graduation ceremonies. Integrated technology into the classroom through the use of graphing calculators, streaming video, and Internet applications.Organized and implemented the junior high math curriculum to become compliant with state standards including choosing the textbooks and designing all levels of curricula in junior high mathematics. Also involved in creation of the school in-depth study in math. Recently, integrated Common Core Math Standards into math curriculum at the Jr. High level and preparing students and fellow educators on the implimentation of CCSS benchmarks and assessments.

Responsible for summer school pre-algebra and algebra classes of incoming sixth through eighth graders from around the Bay Area for St. Ignatius College Preparatory summer session. Planned the curriculum for an intensive, five-week pre-algebra or algebra course. Wrote progress report at the conclusion of the course for parents of students.

Summer School Math Teacher June-July 2001 – 2007Responsible for summer school math classes of incoming Freshmen for Notre Dame High School. Planned the curriculum for an intensive, four-week basic math skill and pre-algebra course. Wrote weekly progress reports to parents of students. • Collaborated with other educators to make placement decisions for incoming Freshmen.• Worked in tandem with other summer school teachers for combined class instructional games and activities including 2Pi day on June 28th. • Helped with the integration of students from many schools into the common routines of high school as well as foster new friendships between students in the classroom.
