𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜 𝗗𝗢:As Principal Designer and CDM Adviser, I provide reliable, pragmatic CDM and Health & Safety advice on construction projects assisting the Client to comply with CDM Regulations 2015 & other relevant H&S Legislation.𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧:The Principal Designer is a fundamental appointment for every construction project to assist the Client in complying with their legal duties under CDM 2015 from project inception through to completion, including the end-user throughout the use, maintenance and eventual deconstruction of the built asset.I provide the Client with comprehensive construction safety advice ensuring they are fully aware of their legal obligations under CDM 2015 and assist with the following:> the provision of Pre-Construction Information,> advise on the competence of Client appointments (designers and contractors),> attend design team / progress meetings,> notify the Health and Safety Executive by means of the F10 Notification,> check the suitability of the Principal Contractor’s Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan,> carry out regular site visits during the construction phase,> provide periodic reports to the Client to assure that the contractor is complying with their duties under CDM 2015.> compilation of the Health & Safety File (where applicable)𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗠𝗘 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗤𝗨𝗘:With over 20 years’ experience within the construction industry, I initially started off as an Architectural Technician whilst performing the varying roles CDM has progressed through since its inception in 1994. My initial role started as Planning Supervisor under CDM 1994, then as CDM Coordinator under the revision to CDM 2007 and now as the Principal Designer and CDM Adviser under the latest revision as CDM2015.My experience as a designer has allowed me to experience the varying aspects of how a structure is progressed from inception to completion. This includes the initial vision and processes of the design stage, the planning and management requirements during the pre-construction stage, how the structure is progressed on-site and eventual completion including how it will be maintained by the end-user.
