I have a strong belief in understanding who you are, your values and ensuring you live by them. These values are what drive me, and I will not compromise them.My passion is about building and running businesses. This started when I was at school I joined a scheme called “Young Enterprise” where a group of students had to form a company, run it, and try to make a profit (in fact, we did make a profit and managed to buy out another company, but that’s another story) and from this small venture, I was hooked!Since then I always wanted to lead a business and my opportunity arrived when I graduated from Staffordshire University in 2006 with a BSc in Internet Technology. I joined EPX Technical Services which was founded in 2005 by a university friend Daniel Ellis. I agreed to stay for 6 months to see if I fitted in and have stayed ever since.Since joining EPX there has been significant evolution and changes over the years. One of the biggest changes for me was in 2016 when I put down my “tools” and instead of working in the business, I now spend 100% of my time on the business. This has had a significant impact on the development of EPX and has allowed it to grow and improve. In 2018 we implemented a new business framework (EOS/Traction) which supported the implementation of a management team which again has seen a massive boost in EPX’s growth and potential.Still working with Daniel Ellis, we now work together on the direction, plan and culture for EPX and in the role as Managing Director, I work with the management team to ensure we execute the plan which is a role I very much enjoy and excel at.
