As General Manager I take the vision for Apple Valley Crossfit set by the owners and work to implement that vision.I provide a buffer and a filter, acting as a link for the owner's and staff, as well as protect the owner’s time. Deliver group fitness classes at Apple Valley CrossFit which include:- Defining the core concepts of the CrossFit program.- Identifying the primary points of performance of foundational and additional movements.- Identifying violations of sound movement.- Applying appropriate corrections toward improved movement.- Applying the CrossFit program safely and effectively.

Manage and direct a team responsible for the ongoing improvement, maintenance and support of enterprise systems at Acadia University. Conduct annual goal setting and performance evaluations with members of the team, as well as prioritize and assign work tasks.Assist with the development and evaluation of Requests for Proposals in co-ordination with Procurement Services for software applications and services. Create requisitions, purchase orders and code invoices for payment for software and services related to Enterprise System.Actively worked to reshape team composition and roles to meet the needs of the university. Developed a team vision, then worked in conjunction with Human Resources, to update job fact sheets for all positions within Enterprise Systems to align with the vision. Involved in the planning and execution of several implementation projects including: - Portal upgrade (Oracle Portal 10g to 11g) - IT Service Management (TeamDynamix) for Technology Services- Database conversion (Unidata to MS SQL Server) for Enterprise Resource Planning system- Student Housing (StarRez) for Housing and Residence Life- Customer Relationship Management (Slate) for Enrolment Services- Student Information System (Colleague Student)

Responsibilities include leadership for information systems initiatives to ensure project budget, schedule and scope requirements are met in an efficient and effective manner.Provide work direction to a team of programmers, systems analysts and database administrator including the scheduling, assignment, and review of project work.Support the mandate of the Information Systems team to develop and manage university applications and information by providing leadership and applying quality information technology to support and enhance teaching, research, learning and administrative services.Facilitate the provision of consulting and programming support for data capture, data security, data integrity and information integration and extraction by the Information Systems team to the university community.

Administered the university’s Moodle learning management system including managing and coordinating several major upgrades of the system.Developed web applications to interface with the student information system. Developed stand alone web applications including one for the collection and administration of scholarship and financial assistance data. Created a donation form interfacing with the Moneris payment gateway.Worked as part of the team migrating the Office of Advancement from a legacy system to the Colleague Advancement solution. Worked on configuring the Informer reporting tool as a reporting solution for Advancement. Also gained experience with the Datatel Portal and SharePoint over the course of the project.

Developed web applications to support academic programs and maintained the university’s course management environment.Supervised a team of student programmers working on a variety of web application development projects. Conducted training sessions for staff on topics including database design.Participated on the committee to recommend a new learning management system platform for the university.

Responsible for the redesign of the Division of Continuing and Distance Education (now Open Acadia) web site.Scope of the site included credit courses, programs of study, English language programs, seniors programs, youth camps and customized training. Tasked with site design and content development. As part of the project implemented Dreamweaver Contribute for site content management.Developed a credit course database allowing for administrative management of course development and integrated to a searchable online credit course listing.Responsible for implementation of course material within the WebCT virtual learning environment.

Worked on the development of a web property for the newly formed Growth and Operations sector of Acadia University.Scope of the site included retail, conference and student services which encompassed areas such as the Campus Store, Print Shop, Athletic Facilities and Programs, Event Services, Residence Life and Meal Plans. Responsible for site implementation, working as part of a team to develop the site design and content.Developed custom e-commerce functionality for the Campus Store, which integrated with the existing inventory management system to control product availability on the site. Also integrated the checkout process with Canada Post shipping.
