I built a new R&D team of data scientists tasked with developing new features for a supply chain risk platform. I guided projects from idea, to prototype, to integration into the platform. These projects involved using word embeddings to find companies selling similar products, using time series forecasting techniques to find companies trending in the news, nearest neighbor algorithms to help match companies in multiple datasets, and graph data to discover relationships between products being shipped. I managed and mentored early and mid career data scientists.

Starting at Endgame and continuing to Elastic, I led the development of MalwareScore, a machine-learning powered signature-less anti-virus solution. MalwareScore is published to VirusTotal and validated by third parties like AV Comparitives and NSS Labs. I grew MalwareScore from a research idea, through the proof of concept stage, and developed it into a huge part of Endgame's product.

Designed and implemented image formation processors in C and Python for various Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) systems including one that necessitated using CUDA to exploit graphics processing units (GPUs) to achieve the required execution time and one that ran aboard an airborne platform to provide immediate feedback from the sensor. Utilized statistical techniques to build and implement ground moving target detection and tracking algorithms. Developed a simulation to investigate the ionosphere’s effect on low frequency space-based SAR systems.
