The client was undertaking a major global technology and business transformation program involving the implementation of a Professional Services Automation (PSA) suite of applications and the reengineering of their business processes to meet the demands of their customers, both internal and external.I served as a strong consultative partner to the finance team, supporting business managers and administrators throughout the transformation process. Throughout I worked closely with business leads, SMEs and senior managers to understand, document and interpret requirements in order suggest application solutions. Translating solutions into to test plans and providing support to testing activities including business acceptance was a critical activity I performed. It was critical that I was available as a mentor to the members of the the business support teams enabling them to have greater understanding of the solutions provided in to ensure that they received efficient and relevant guidance and training. I worked closely with the technical team providing functional, business knowledge and process clarity when required. The client is performing an upgrade to v9.2 PUM 25. Oracle have totally redesigned the way that bank reconciliation rules are configured and the method that the bank reconciliation processes work in releases up to PUM 25. I reconfigured the clients old bank reconciliation rules using the new functional tools and the client was able to remove a number customised rules and implement a configured, non technical and vanilla bank reconciliation process. The entire upgrade for cash management and all other financial applications was successfully system tested and passed to the business for UAT where I was able to assist the client in including the new functionality gained from the upgrade into the existing business processes.

The client has a mature implementation of PeopleSoft Financials. The overall objective of the project was leave the client with sound foundation for a future financial payment architecture and data structure that will support the introduction of a new customer facing systems.  This foundation enabled the client to improve the overall customer experience in the processing of financial transactions while enabling the client to reduce the cost of processing financial transactions. PeopleSoft Applications: Accounts Receivable, Billing, Cash Management, Banking

The client has a rolling implementation program to implement PeopleSoft Cash Management across its global estate of universities. Additionally the client is looking to gain additional benefit and efficiencies in the bank reconciliation processes for regions who already have cash management installed. Integration of non-PeopleSoft applications to the cash management architecture and processes was a key component for each implementation, where transactions from student information systems and treasury management systems are required to supply cash transactions for the bank reconciliation process. The supply of bank statements provided by the banks in MT940 format for all institutions was used as a common bank statement format, and these were transformed and enhanced on import to the application to enable the highest possible auto reconciliation rates to be achieved.PeopleSoft Applications : Cash Management, Banking and Bank reconciliation

The client has a semi-mature PeopleSoft Accounts Payable and General Ledger implementation and then embarked on a full implementation of the PeopleSoft financials suite, together with the implementation of PeopleSoft Time Recording. The implementation of the financials suite had a global coverage and involved the cash management functions covering over fifteen geographic banking regions and many differing currencies. Integration with two major banks (one global and the other regional) was a major challenge as each country had its own banking regulations to be adhered to and represented in the PeopleSoft applications. The project was planned and implemented and delivered on a configure, design, build, convert and train methedoligy, and, as the client has a global reach multi curreny and reginal GAAP and Intercompany requirments had to be accommodated.PeopleSoft Applications : Cash Management, Banking and Financial Gateway

The International banking client has embarked upon program of transformation with the goal of “Operational Excellence”. As a part of the program, PeopleSoft Financials is one of key components of this transformation. In the role of Project Manager PeopleSoft Financials, the role was toPlan, implement and deliver the PeopleSoft financial applications for the clients banking operations in Bulgaria, and at the same time manage the Core application architecture used in the implementation of PeopleSoft Financials in all regions.

The client had a semi mature implementation of the core elements of PeopleSoft Financials 9.0 implemented in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This core implementation was upgraded to version 9.1. by the project team. Following the upgrade the project team then implemented the Hungarian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Greek and Polish regions based upon a central design of business processes and then adding specific required local functionality. The Spanish and Turkish regions are currently being implemented and are planned for production in 2014.

The client acquired a number of new satellite and terrestrial communication companies that required integrating into their existing PeopleSoft environments. The client has a collection of a mature PeopleSoft Financials and HCM environments and the new businesses were integrated into this structure. The new business took them into new geographical markets and extended their product and service offerings. The Systems are managed in the United States, and the project team was based in the UK for the implementation. As a professional services organization the client implemented elements of the PSA suite together with a complete set of financial applications to support its global operations. These applications complemented and integrated with the clients HCM, CRM and Data Warehouse systems. The client was implementing, migrating and decommissioning its current HRMS infrastructure to a consolidated HCM v9.0 environment. As a cornerstone of this major architectural update and organizational consolidation was the introduction of a HCM data warehouse based upon the PeopleSoft EPM. The warehouse is used to store information on their resources from all over the world and has become the source of all information and analytical data on their staff. The client was implementing EPM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in two distinct phases. The first phase was the implementation was the manual measurement of KPIs across the business. The second phase of the implementation was the automated calculation of KPI transactions form both enriched warehouse data and data from external systems. The client developed an application suite at its head office in North America to track and report business specific information using PeopleSoft Project Costing. This suite of applications required implementing to support their business processes throughout Europe. Client was upgrading from earlier PeopleSoft versions. Responsible globally for the implementation and reconfiguration of General Ledger, VAT and Reporting.

PeopleSoft subject mater expert with planning and configuration responsibility for successful live implementation of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Billing, VAT and Cash Management. Responsible for the design and development of the PeopleSoft application architecture. Design, implement and test integration of PeopleSoft components and other business systems including customer information interface and billing interface with no PeopleSoft billing systems. Design and delivery of training materials to key system users. Design and specification for a regular receipting interface to a factoring company for debt management. Design and structure the application configuration and business rules for implementation of additional business units during phase two. End to end and period end testing co-ordination. Consultancy support, advice and recommendations given as required across complete range of PeopleSoft applications being implemented. Designed and specified and tested billing modification to provide client with enhanced functionality regarding the content and issue of bills, this enhancement was written using application engine. Technical tracing and resolution of problems, together with Investigation and recommendations regarding all periodic maintenance release patches to ensure appropriate compliance. Ensure that PeopleSoft applications are implemented are in line with enterprise-wide requirements.

Complete responsibility for direction, planning and configuration of PeopleSoft Billing and Accounts Receivable applications. Specification and configuration for Billing to receive items sent from and to a custom built billing meter reading system which was designed and written using PeopleTools, making full use of PeopleSoft application engine technology. Configured Bank and Cash Management systems to enable automatic bank reconciliation and Accounts Receivable Locker Box applications to be used. Configure VAT for specific rule set. The complete configuration included the automation and integration with non-PeopleSoft components, using custom built integration objects to take General Ledger financial transactions to a legacy system.

Responsible for all aspects relating to the successful implementation and rollout of Asset Management, Cash Management , General Ledger and VAT all within a multi currency environment. Business analysis, application configuration and change control, specification, testing and reconciliation of data conversion, specification, testing and reconciliation of external interfacing of data from other business systems. Ensured that full integration testing with other PeopleSoft applications being implemented was completed and results of the integration tests were correct.
