• Provided project management administration and technical consultancy to the Group including stakeholders, business analysts, technical engineers and the Project Board.
• Assisted in the development and coaching of colleagues on a Prince II based project management methodology for 50 people across multiple departments. This gave the department a consistent way of managing and reporting.
• Designed, developed and enacted a number of Data Migration processes for an ERP project.

• Managed the delivery, implementation and use of the EPOS system for the 2007 World Scout Jamboree supporting sales from over 50k Scouts/volunteers and supporting staff.
• Designed and implemented a new communications room with a budget of £100k working with surveyors, builders, electricians, air conditioning and fire suppression suppliers.
• Managed support for the entire group’s IT/IS systems including; Windows server 2003 and 2008R2, MS Exchange, Torex Retail ERP solution with Business Objects reporting and an Inter-Tel digital telephone system with VOIP.
• Provided day to day operation and support servicing local and remote user and desktops/laptops (1st, to 3rd line as well as supplier management when outsourced).
• Managed parallel short notice e-commerce and EPOS projects between existing key project deadlines on time and within budget.
• Planned, tested and implemented software and process requirements (including ecommerce and PCI compliance) in line with requirements and best industry practices.

• Managed customer support desk supporting approximately 35 customers and approximately 2500 users
• Managed the rollout of a new communications POD with 30 servers, 40 telephony nodes and 300 E1’s, along with remote access, backup solutions and NAS.

• Project managed the relocation of the IT services when the company moved their head office to new premises.

• Managed server and database infrastructure needs.
• Provided 24/7 data centre management and support team servicing 1200 servers over 100 cabinets and 6000 telephony nodes shared between 250 customers and approximately 18000 users.
• Implemented numerous server and telephony node rollouts in quick succession as the customer and user base grew.
• Maintained detailed documentation and reference materials for LAN/WAN, telephony and hardware infrastructure improving support response times by almost 15% based on previous 2 years.

• Managed and maintained returned servers and in-house infrastructure.
• Built knowledge database of repairs and common issues used across all customer support / system engineers.
• Produced reports to the IT Manager of returns including diagnostics results and fault analysis used to improve knowledge base. This resulted in an improvement of turnaround times and misdiagnosis.

• Provided pre-sales advice including site visits assisting sales managers with new contracts.
• Provided day to day operation and customer 1st/2nd line support.
• Maintained a TCP/IP network for the 60 internal server and desktop environment. This included firewall policies, desktop and server security.

• Assisted in the design and production of a new customer specific server build kit, which later resulted in the customer winning a company changing contract worth several million pounds.
• Gained experience working on multiple server and network infrastructures, working in a team that coordinated between the sales and integration department.
