Working on an algorithmic-trading application using Scala and Akka.Created a dotnet service that automates a WPF based client application, scraps data from it and publishes the data to kafka.Created a dotnet library to collect kafka client statistics and publish them to prometheus to get insight into the dataflow timings of different dotnet based kafka client systems.Migrated (Rewrote) a JavaFX fat-client application for algorithmic-trading to a microservice based system. Introduced Kafka and gRPC/protobuf3 to separate the independent parts from each other. Created a gRPC/protobuf3 based protocol to enable clients and servers to communicate with each other directly or via Kafka which uses messages serialized in the protobuf3 protocol. Created a gRPC based adapter-service to wrap a legacy, COM-based 3rd party API-interface (JouleDirect). Created a mapper to translate the 3rd party xml based protocol to protobuf3.On-boarded two other teams to use the adapter-service and the Kafka infrastructure.Implementing CI/CD and git based semantic-versioning for own projects and trying to on-board other teams into that workflow.Worked on a JavaFX fat-client application which enables algo trading and market making for gas commodities.

Supporting an internal market solution within the company which enables trading between internal counter-parties. Created supporting services for handling trades (e.g. spread trade splitting, trade pricing, trade notifications).Worked on a solution to enable communication between different applications and programming languages (Java & C#) by using ZeroMQ and Goggle Protocol Buffers. The solution enables fast, message exchange between applications (e.g. Exxeta Energy Trader, Excel, WinForms & WPF Applications)Extending Exxeta Energy Trader. Extensions are written in Java and analyze market prices from different energy exchanges and calculate new market prices according to specific business rules. Enables traders to fulfill market making obligations.Wrote a cache WCF service for a weather application. This service stores data from different data providers in memory. The UI component of the application asks this service for data. The service gets the data from memory or from a data provider if it's not available in memory.Supporting a Win Forms application for meteorologists. This application reads data from a central company database and shows the data from different points of view. It was written by someone else.Wrote back end for a WCF service. The back end reads price curve data from an excel file (legacy storage), calculates the off-peak of a base and peak curve and persists the data in an Oracle database. Wrote a custom macro for traders that reads the price data from that Oracle database.
