The goal of STRIVE's Strong Fathers, Stronger Families program is to foster close connections between fathers and their children, while facilitating employment, all with the goal of helping to break poverty cycles related to fatherless, single parent homes.. The goal of the program is to help Fathers/Mothers find a job, connect with their children, improve the relationship with their children’s Mothers/Fathers, and strengthen the relationship with their partners. Strong Fathers, Stronger Families is a new program designed to help fathers find jobs and free viable vocational training opportunities that will allow them to be independent, motivated, and encouraged to be active in their children’s lives.

Specialized Services (re entry) Case manager▪ Manage a caseload of 60+▪ Provide case management retention services to unemployed shelter and former shelter residents and the formerly incarcerated population▪ Out source qualified Job seekers (JS) to Ex offender friendly programs IE: CEO, Fortune society, Osborne association and Strive (training program) for additional services.▪ Ensure that all JS are instructed to provide release papers and divulge any /all restrictions IE: curfews, borough restrictions, internet access.▪ Ensure that all parolees are instructed to provide the mandated schedule and contact information of the Parole /Probation officer.▪ Ensure that all JS mandated to special programs (substance abuse, anger management, DV and any other mandated programs) provide Schedule and Contact information of service provider.▪ Arrange for employers to speak to job seekers about employment and employer expectations▪ Conduct mentoring and post-placement follow-up for clients who have been placed.▪ Document case notes and data regarding Participants educational and employment activities▪ Collaborate with supervisors to determine performance measurement and productivity.▪ Assist Participants in understanding and setting vocational and educational goals.▪ Assess, review and analyze Participant’s Public Assistance cases on NYCWAY database.▪ Network with proper organizations to provide the best suited resources.
