Over the many years being a part of this human resource department we were encouraged and ultimately successful in marketing the company as the employer of choice. This was accomplished primarily by progressive vision and courageous leadership by our owner or executive team. Solid recruiting and clear career development programs were built and administered. The detail to our training was unwavering and ultimately appreciated by our customers. Some success statistics were team member growth from 300 to 2300, top line revenue growth by $250M and solid EBITDA growth Ultimately, this success resulted in the sale and merger with another competitor.

Started in the largest hotel as the Director of Human Resources. We employed approximately 1000 team members in a large convention based business. In this position as Director, every facet of HR was practiced. We did our own recruiting, training and career development. Employee relations in a service based business that employs three shifts is a challenge and a reward. Ultimately, after 2 years I was promoted to the Corporate Director of Human Resources for the company of 32 hotels. This provided me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals and grow as a leader. Developing solid working relationships was the key to success. This was a very exciting and diverse opportunity in a challenging business.
