As an EdTech Product Manager, Marie works on a portfolio of academic support web and app products at The Princeton Review.Marie obtained their BA in Economics and Mathematical Sciences at Barnard College, Columbia University. They are passionate about digital equity, tech for good, and uplifting LGBTQ+ BIPOC voices in STEM spaces. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, they are a lifetime Girl Scout and co-founder of English Kids to Kids and Bridging Cultures, a peer-to-peer summer program for refugee and immigrant children.Their previous role in the biotech industry as an Associate Product Manager allowed them to collaborate with full stack development teams using Agile methodologies to build reporting software for lab directors. As Product Owner of the reporting software, Marie also managed the roadmap, release schedule, and scope of work to maintain company-wide KPIs. Their everyday tasks included writing JIRA stories and working with end-users to test and adopt our software.Outside of work, they volunteer with VanguardSTEM, the signature program of the STEM en Route to Change Foundation, a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to use STEM as a tool for social justice. Funded by the Wikimedia Foundation, National Geographic, and the National Science Foundation, VanguardSTEM publishes original and curated content and hosts events centering the experiences of women and non-binary people of color in STEM. As Operations Manager, Marie ensures the team stays aligned with clearly defined goals and deliverables within projects through documentation, Asana task management, and C-Suite stakeholder collaboration.
