Profile bio

About Marc Girolimetti

Six years ago, my life changed forever, after my daughter was diagnosed with cancer. A month prior I made the difficult choice to dissolve a promising young start-up. My career was in flux. My daughter's care became a full-time commitment. What was planned as a two-year hiatus became much longer after she relapsed. Her relapse pushed my resilience to limits I never imagined. Not only did I have to pivot, but my partner in this endeavor, my wife, had a flourishing career that required all of my support and creative planning. This allowed our children to maximize their childhood. To ensure our survival and growth, I merged my experience, leadership, collaborative nature, and training from both my professional and volunteer lives. This required a tremendous amount of logistical planning, all while taking risky chances surrounding new science, simply to save her life. I spent hours reading medical case studies to best prepare myself before making these decisions in conjunction with a world-class oncology team. This led to my advocacy and desire to raise funds to bring much-needed attention to pediatric cancer research. Eventually, I was asked to participate in a PhotoOp/meet and greet with Governor Charlie Baker and now former Health & Human Services Secretary, Alex Azar. Never missing an opportunity, I stole five minutes and spoke firsthand about how desperately families needed research and solutions to accelerate beyond chemotherapy and radiation. "Make sure you're confidently prepared to make your pitch at a moment's notice." is something I'd drill into my entrepreneurship students' heads, and that moment required me to eat my proverbial dog food.Seizing opportunities drives me. While my career was on hold, I wrote a novel. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B15Q6G2L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_3MMTVFD4FC05V8X7Y7J5By nature, I am a product and marketing strategist who loves selling to customers and/or investors. I've spent a lot of my time focused on revenue via relationship management (client, partner, government) and marketing models. I can conceptualize, plan, execute, and launch complex and comprehensive programs for start-ups or Fortune 500 brands. My success comes from my positive attitude and ability to collaborate while inspiring others to get the most out of themselves.

Listed skills include Revenue Strategy, Product Strategy, Interactive Marketing, Start Up Consulting, and 32 others.
