Management and operations of District Infant/Toddler and Preschool programs.

Responsible for the day to day operation of the early education and extended day care center serving children in Preschool through 8th grade.● Provide leadership in the collaboration with the special education team to develop asuccessful co-teaching team in an integrated preschool learning setting.● Establish successful partnerships with both the Elementary and Middle Schoolleadership and teaching staff of the schools the program serves● Provide leadership in creating developmentally appropriate curriculum directly connectedto the needs and interests of the children for both preschool and school age children.● Responsible for ongoing development, implementation, evaluation and oversight of thechild-centered, play-based curriculum for all children● Knowledge of and/or experience with High Scope, Developmentally AppropriatePractices, QRIS, Preschool Learning Foundations, Teaching Pyramid, Universal Designfor Learning, Desired Results Developmental Profile and/or ECERS/SACERS preferred.● Manage center financial, marketing and enrollment functions.● Ability to clearly convey messages regarding organizational policies, procedures andpractices.● Help assist in the hiring process of interested candidates.

Oversees and manages a preschool and school age program of 104 children. Directly supervises a staff of 12 teachers. • Maintain a safe, caring, and effective learning and working environment for students, staff, and families.• Provides staff supervision for the school including selection, training, coordination of tasks, assignment of priorities, resolving problems, motivating staff, and conducting performance evaluations; also supervises and coordinates assignments for parents, volunteers, and substitutes.• Plans, implements, and evaluates a developmentally appropriate quality program for the children of Pasitos School; responds to and resolves difficult and sensitive inquiries and complaints.• Develops procedures and processes for the operation of Pasitos School; stays up to date on State regulations related to the operation of the center; revises procedures and processes accordingly; maintains or supervises current student records as required by Title 22 and LLC; maintains current personnel records as required by Title 22 and LLC.• Supervises the planning and implementation of the nutritional component of the program; coordinates community contact with public and private agencies; facilitates ordering of supplies and equipment; maintains inventory; ensures safety and cleanliness of facility; oversees inspections and audits; attends workshops and meetings; serves on committees; performs other related duties as assigned.

"Under general direction, supervises children to promote their physical, cognitive and social development. Responsible for on-floor program participation with children. Assures on-going, age-appropriate activities and development of children. Implements the curriculum and, with active participation of other members of the teaching team, works with parents and assesses the development of each child. Provides a safe environment for all children at all times."Special projects: Create monthly newsletters for parents, family events, decorate events, and create flyers/invitations.

Implemented program proposals using Learning In After School Principles and Common Core Standards. Created 8-week session programs covering topics such as: physical, mental and emotional health along with self-esteem and self-image related projects. Planned and conducted field trips and collaborative events with surrounding Boys and Girls Club Teen Center’s.

Assisted Direct Service Coordinator Colleen Dugan. Organized enrollment applications, shadowed classroom observations and planned community service events. Assisted in End of Month reports and gathered information for Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS-R) reports.

Prepared and evaluated curriculum for 3 months-2 year olds. Participated in staff meetings and parent events and conferences. Completed weekly observation notes and Desired Results assessments. Assessed behavior management techniques. Collaborated with other Interns on child and center observations, setting goals for children and curriculum planning.

Successful in soliciting financial support for higher education by engaging alumni, parents, and friends of the university. Responsible for new employee interviews and new employee training Trained three to six new callers each semester to become effective telephone and in-person fundraisers. Personally raised over $60,000 pledged for the university's programs and annual fund.March Madness 2016 Fundraising Champion (3rd Place)

Prepared, implemented and reflected upon curriculum for 24 preschoolers. Involvement of performing arts in curriculum. Participated in staff meetings and events. Completed weekly observation notes.
