Responsible for complete concern and statutory financial reporting responsibilities for our 2 entities; Unilever Pakistan Limited (public unlisted) and Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited (public listed). Also, responsible to oversee Treasury Operations and Employee Retirement Fund Management for both the entities. Key responsibilities included optimizing business cash flows, ensuring funds and esp. forex availability to fund ongoing business requirements, providing insurance cover to protect business value, and overall working capital management for the business. In 2018, led rights shares issue to fund $120 million upgrade of manufacturing operations across our four factories. Key interfaces included global treasury, in-country legal and tax teams, internally, alongside global and local banks, auditors, tax and business consultants, externally. Cultivating close working relationships remained a key aspect of my role.

As Group Head of Internal Audit for Unilever Pakistan Limited, led the 12 strong Internal Audit team to deliver impactful functional audits and governance reviews to proactively manage business risks for both our entities - Unilever Pakistan Limited and Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited. Key contributions in policy development, and identifying and accelerating cost saving initiatives.
