Jun 2018 - Aug 2018

Product Marketing Manager

Cupertino, California, Us

New Product Launch, Messaging and Brand Development, Press Releases, Market Research, Event Planning, Analytics, Email Campaigns, Web Design and CopyWorking at this small, early stage B2C2B startup focused on AI chatbots, I develop consistent brand messaging (copy and web design: Sketch, Wordpress, GoDaddy – HTML, CSS) throughout a variety of online platforms – including our company website and social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook). I create extensive copy for the Q and ModuleQ brands, including but not limited to the FAQ, press releases (PRNewswire), blog posts, collateral for conferences, explainer/demo videos, app store description (ASO) and email campaigns (MailChimp) – all of which are written to facilitate adoption of our product by the correct audience.I conduct market and advertising research to determine where to best reach out to our specific audience without wasting limited time or money. This resulted in an adaptable list of keywords implemented across platforms, adjusting regularly to changing circumstances. My research was conducted both online (searching out competitors and influencers so as to become known as a powerful voice in the sales and personal data fusion spaces) and in person (user interviews). I am in constant conversations with numerous current and potential users and I relay their commentary to my superiors in order to create an artificial intelligence bot guaranteed to alleviate user’s pain points and become an indispensable tool. Finally, I track and analyze adoption and influence analytics (Flurry, Hootsuite) to further present feedback, improving overall experience, retention, and even contributing to the discussion of future features. Working in a bootstrapped startup environment like ModuleQ inspires me to constantly learn and accept the fact that I will always have to “wear many hats” and learn on the fly. Never a dull moment – and that’s what makes it fun.

Business Development

Mountain View, California, Us

Strategic Customer Development, New Product/Feature Release, Direct Mail/Email Campaigns, Copywriting, Analytics, SalesforceAt Magisto, I sought out commercial applications for a successful consumer product and, in turn, was on the ground floor for the international release of a new product: Magisto for Business. I managed professional relationships by reaching out to industry leaders via LinkedIn, email, phone, and direct mail to discuss their perspectives on the future of video in various commercial spaces to determine the best ways to improve and monetize the product. I also was responsible for composing technical B2B/B2C copy, creating consistent product branding in emails and video scripts.I executed a particularly successful direct mail campaign that reached out to leaders in various industries including music, online advertising, automotive, real estate, MCN, social media and more. I sent over 500 personalized gifts and emails and ensured that my team followed up with sales calls and product demos. Final results? A 24% response rate from over 20 different industries. That’s over 100 face-to-face meetings. Moreover, I managed the entire Salesforce database. I tracked and managed incoming leads, opportunities and accounts – constantly updating as deals progressed, at which point I presented easy to understand metrics to the rest of the team.

Pivotmail

Email Campaigns, Event Planning, Market Research, Social Media, Marketing Optimization, CopywritingPivotMail let me dip my toes into the Silicon Valley startup world, and for that I am grateful. The learning curve was steep, but I was more than up to the challenge. My major responsibility was content creation. I wrote copy for the website, brochures, social media, videos, and more. I led an email campaign that resulted in a 60 percent open rate, and I grew PivotMail’s social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook), resulting in a 15 percent follower increase. To create correct, current, and engaging content I conducted in depth market research on competition as well as the email encryption, cyber-security and privacy debates that have become so prominent in recent years. My work culminated in an extremely successful conference (RSA 2015) where we captured over 800 leads, a 10x increase over the prior year due to my focus on improving logistics, management, and booth design. I worked closely with a designer, web developer, and the project manager to create a memorable show.I also engaged weekly with our PR group and ad agency to discuss future content development: op-eds, press releases, SEO/SEM, and social ads.
