I advise on planning matters, specialising in housing and local economic growth. I help clients generate value through strategic land promotion, particularly for urban extensions, new settlements, and related infrastructure. I also lead on a diverse range of economics, regeneration, and airport projects, and give strategic direction to the Lichfields research agenda. Since 2020 I have been responsible for leading the 100-strong Lichfields London office.I am a Non-Executive Director of Repton Property Developments Ltd, the company established by Norfolk County Council to develop surplus Council-owned land for housing.I am recognised for my knowledge of plan-making, and in 2016 was an advisor on the DCLG Local Plans Expert Group. I an a seasoned expert witness at public inquires and examinations. In 2022 I was made a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, having been nominated by the RTPI. I am Senior Director responsible for Lichfields' current work advising Government on Digitalisation of the planning system. I re-joined Lichfields in 2008, having previously worked for the company in Newcastle between 1997 and 2004. In the intervening period I worked in the Strategy Consulting practice at Deloitte.
