Overall responsible for the end-to-end delivery of information within Defence while on watch at Defence Communications Station Canberra, and management of the personnel on that watch. Also performed in a security officer role, confirming personnel clearances, conducting security briefs and managing electronic access control systems.

Posted to Headquarters Joint Operations Command at a stand-by communications centre, and responsible for ensuring communications services were readily available and staff were trained to respond in the event of a loss of services at the primary communications site.

Posted to HMAS Darwin from January to December 2017 and HMAS Newcastle from January to August 2018, on Darwin I was a Leading Hand of the Watch, responsible for the continuous provision of communications services to and from the ship, and for keeping bridge watches. On Newcastle I was designated the LAN Administrator and responsible for the administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of the ship's networks.

Working at Headquarters Joint Operations Command, on a watch in the Joint Operations Room, main duties included providing communications support to minor Defence operations and compiling reports to be delivered by the command team to the Chief of Joint Operations.

Working as casual labour hire through the Skilled Group assisting the bakers at Goodman Fielder Townsville with various tasks, including sourcing and mixing ingredients, cleaning equipment, packing bread rolls and confirming correct quantities for bread orders.

Served food, alcoholic beverages, teas and coffees to customers at multiple pubs/hotels during an almost four-year stay in the UK.
