Implemented, evaluated, monitored reading instruction for 45 teachers and 16 paraprofessionals at assigned K-6 elementary school.Provided professional development, consultation, and training to teachers and paraprofessionals throughout the state of Hawaii in reading and “best teaching” practices. Administered Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills Assessments (Letter Naming Fluency, Phonemic Segmentation, On-set Rime, Nonsense Word, and Test of Oral Reading Fluency) to 722 students. Compiled and analyzed school-wide assessment data on Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Created and presented grade level achievement and individual student performance data graphs.Identified at-risk learners, developed and implemented crisis interventions and modifications. Attained funds of $140,000 for assigned school through development of project proposals for Pihana Na Mamo and Reading Challenge GrantsPiloted and coordinated three-week summer reading program for 100 student, 30 volunteers, and 6 teachers. Successfully fundraised $21,000 from the community to provide transportation, materials, meals, and refreshments.
