I graduated with a BA in Philosophy from St. John's University (NY), studied philosophy of science at Arizona State University, and earned a Certificate in Data Science from Johns Hopkins University.I have over a decade of experience in customer service in the food & beverage industry. I am currently Assistant Manager at Bliss/Rebar in downtown Phoenix, AZ. At Bliss, I facilitate service daily with an emphasis on customer service, product quality, and creating an inviting atmosphere in the restaurant. I actively engage with guests and cultivate a regular return clientele. I train employees in all aspects of front-of-house operations, and practice employee recognition initiatives such as a gift-card exchange with other local businesses. As a manager I also communicate needs and expectations with employees, as well as address and mitigate conflicts amongst employees. I consistently engage with guests in order to understand any concerns or compliments regarding the restaurant. I relay concerns and maintenance items to management staff and ownership, and coordinate with various vendors. In the past year, I updated our cash tracking system by creating an extensive Excel system for data entry and analysis. I also co-wrote an extensive cocktail training program for all our bartenders, and implemented more streamlined processes during opening, service, and closing the restaurant. I have also begun study for the Court of Master Sommeliers' Level 1 exam.
