During my internship at Salesforce, I worked on a business card reader for importing contact information within the Salesforce 1 app. This feature allowed users to take a picture of a business card from S1 and import the cards information into their contacts page.Purpose:The feature was created for customers that met with potential clients and was handed many business cards. Rather than manually inputting each card one by one, they can easily take a picture and have them automatically imported into their Salesforce Contacts. This provided the customers of Salesforce to easily and seamlessly add contacts to their org.High Level Process: After the user took this photo, it then compresses, and passed over to the server, which then operates multiple processes: using Tesseract, and an OCR to retrieve the text from the business card, parse the values, stores in a JSON format, and then the client receives a response and the fields will then be populated.

Tony's Jewelry is a local business that buys and sells jewelry and various antiques. I was maintaining Tony's eBay page, and web page. I helped Tony manage his employees that posted items onto their eBay store, as well as, configuring the look of their eBay page and store. I would also take photos of their items and post them on their eBay store - by creating designs and templates.

I was contracted to create a website for Tony's Jewelry. Tony gave me his initial ideas that he wanted the website to have. I hand coded most of the website. And I returned to him every few weeks for his feedback on what he did and did not like until completion.
