At Rigor, I had the pleasure of working with a team of experienced engineers tackling hard problems at a global scale. On a daily basis, my team used modern software design approaches and standardized open source solutions such as docker, microservices, restful apis, continuous integration and automated unit testing. This adherence to industry best practices and enterprise design greatly simplified the ramping of new engineers and allowed us to confidently deploy updates to our global network of hundreds of servers across dozens of regions several times a day with no stress and zero downtime. In this role, I was the final owner for the efficient delivery of high quality, cost effective software updates to our customers. In addition, my team provided operational ownership of the 24/7 availability of our global network of monitoring agents across hundreds of servers and dozens of locations. I reported directly to the CEO in this role.Rigor was acquired by Splunk in October 2020.
