Reduced commercial office space by 1M sq. ft. Interviewed and conducted research with state department heads about human use and programmatic infrastructure needs. How can we help to physically and psychologically rebuild communities affected by natural disasters?Using participatory design methodology, working with Keio University and Kobayashi Laboratory to build housing for refugees of natural disasters. We are investing in the social role of architects in post disaster regions, understanding the needs of the displaced as it relates to the rebuilding of community, urban fabric and the built environment. Creating and building housing that serves to physically and psychologically rebuild lives through participatory design methods.
