• Conducting Air Medical Evacuations for UNSOS (United Nations Support Office in Somalia) • Working as the Doctor on call for Air Medical Evacuations with 24-hour shifts • Emergency care of trauma patients with injuries secondary to gunshot wounds, improvised explosive devise (IED) explosions, motor vehicle collisions, medical illnesses and COVID-19 • Providing resuscitative care and quality in-flight patient care in-line with current guidelines • Ensuring proper communication and coordination when carrying out evacuations including correct documentation • Training and mentorship of over 200 African Union peacekeeping troops on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and the use of the Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK)

Democratic Republic Of The Congo

Dadaab Refugee Camp, Kenya

• Setting up of a new 100-bed field Hospital and 6 health posts in the Dadaab Refugee Camp • Provided quality clinical care for patients • Ensuring that clinical standards were maintained both at the primary care level and at the hospital level • Management of the clinical team (6 doctors, 2 pharmacists, 12 clinical officers (medical assistants), 4 lab technologists and about 30 nurses)
