Assistant Production Manager
CurrentAs an Assistant Manager of Production, I supervise a team of welders, machine operators, technicians, and other support staff of production operations. I deliver the Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety results necessary to achieve the Business Targets by rigorous application of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean manufacturing tools.Activities as assistant manager of production are:- Schedule & control shift operations effectively to achieve daily and monthly production targets.- Ensure calculated planned downtime and smooth run ability of machines to achieve Master Production schedule targets- Ensure manufacturing of high-quality products by meeting/exceeding quality targets - Improve processes to reduce/eliminate market complaints and to ensure product integrity- Monitor and ensure the compliance of Company HSE policies on the floor to provide a safe and healthy work environment- Ensure reduction in raw material wastages by close monitoring of machinery condition, and raw material quality and focusing on skill enhancement of labor to keep wastages within targets - Maintain a high standard of machinery and floor housekeeping and keep the workforce at a high level of motivation by providing a clean and healthy work environment - Work with other department leaders to maintain a cohesive, responsive, and flexible organization. - Maintain good relationships with all interested parties to ensure smooth operations on the floor- Demonstrate the shift and promote teamwork and effectively reduce the communication gap among shifts & Cells by ensuring effective handing over the process- Work with the Quality Assurance department to ensure that the produced products are of high quality- Encourage floor staff to be creative and freely share their ideas to work on the improvement of processes- Continuously working on improving existing processes to make them more cost-effective
