I am a geotechnical engineer and have been involved in projects encompassing the design and analyses of open pit walls, mine rock and sediment storage facilities, tailings and water dams. I am also experienced in leading and executing geotechnical field programs including supervising hard rock drilling, sonic drilling, surface mapping, instrumentation, hydrogeological testing and test pitting. I have an outstanding academic and research background in advanced soil mechanics and continue to contribute and share my learnings and experience through research papers and conference presentations. I also serve in the role of Innovation Lead for Stantec Mining - Canada.

Pursuing my MSc in geotechnical engineering at the University of Calgary. My master's research is focused on the evaluation of geomechanical behavior of frozen and hydrate bearing sands using advanced high pressure triaxial and resonant column testing.

Course: Mechanics of Solids (Undergraduate)Performed tutorials and assisted 2nd year civil engineering undergraduate students on theoretical and numerical problems for the course of mechanics of solids.

Demonstrated laboratory tests to undergraduate civil engineering students for soil compaction, visual classification & sieve analysis of soils, drained/undrained triaxial shear, permeability, Atterberg’s limits and consolidation.

Developed grading rubrics and assisted in marking of quizzes and exams for the course of geotechnical engineering.

Performed teaching duties for courses of geotechnical engineering and fluid dynamics to undergraduate students in civil engineering.

Traveled to government schools in remote parts of Pakistan to assess and advise on infrastructure capacity, construction quality, earthquake damage, municipal facilities, and basic requisites for primary education. Developed a live GIS data system wherein data was uploaded in a spreadsheet from the field to a dedicated Google map for better visualization and identification of areas requiring specific attention. Participated in local community capacity building program (through workshops) for sustainability of newly constructed school infrastructure

Promoting the field of Civil Engineering. Spreading awareness about energy efficient construction designs in local community, providing opportunities to students to excel their expertise, arranging seminars, workshops, poster competitions, all in the name of Civil Engineering.

Investigated the modifications brought about in the Strength and Microstructure of Hydraulic Cement Mortar by using RHA-extracted Silica as a cement replacement.
