I work closely with Simulink and Simscape customers to understand their business objectives and ensure that they are getting the most value out of our products and services.

I have worked on the design and development of commercial battery management systems with capability to estimate the battery's health and perform active/passive balancing of the cells in a battery pack. I am also working on the concept design of ground rig to test the integrated power plant of electric aircrafts.Further, I worked on the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) funded research project ‘Addressing Barriers to Efficient Renewable Integration’. The project partners are ElectraNet Pty Ltd, Tasmanian Networks Pty Ltd and Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). Duties include developing and defining test procedures for PV inverters based on the Australian renewable energy integration standards. Testing off-the-shelf PV inverters under grid disturbances and characterising their behaviour.

This APR.Intern internship is supported by the Australian Government and was focussed to concept design a ground test rig for aviation powerplants. The following impact statement is released by the DANTE AeroNautical at the completion of internship.This APR Intern project has been extremely useful for DANTE AeroNautical, playing an important part in our technology development roadmap. The intern we have worked with, Ali, together with the support of UNSW as collaborating university, has generated complex simulation models for us that will be instrumental in the development of electric integrated powerplants for aviation, one of our key building blocks.We are dedicating our efforts in DANTE to generate, implement and commercialise zero emission concepts for air transport, something required to meet global emissions targets.In order to progress with our development plans we needed to properly size all the key components of our future powerplant, as well as the ground rig system where we will test it. Prior to building any physical prototype the modelling and simulation with advanced technical tools is the most efficient and safe way to conceptualise, refine and test different configurations of complex systems. In our case the high voltages and magnitude of the whole powerplant turns this modelling effort into a strict must do to accelerate and streamline future certification efforts.Ali has proven to be a resourceful intern who has helped us to explore, identify and develop different technical solutions to the multiple complex problems we find along the way when building models for our systems. He has also preliminary run those models to produce initial cycle results that we will use in next stages of development to size all the components and detail and estimate product life.Ali’s work will be the starting point in our next stage of development, including the physical build-up of some of those components that will be based on the results of this internship.
