1. To undertake efforts for institutional development for an effective and responsive disaster management at provincial level.2. To Formulate disaster Management Policies and draft laws for Government of Balochistan in post 18th amendment scenario under which the provinces require to prepare their own legal framework.3. To devise strategies to Improve disaster risk governance to build resilience of communities in the province.4. To identify reform measures to ameliorate existing vulnerabilities to hazards and ensure that future development initiatives add resilience. 5. To Lay down policies for the preparation of Provincial Plans for multiple hazards at community level through participatory approach 6. To work with private sector for insurance of properties damaged or lost in disasters. 7. To set policies, allocate appropriate resources for mainstreaming of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). 8. To Provide necessary guidelines to improve capacity of lower tiers of Disaster management such as District Disaster Management Authority. 9. To design and monitor e-government system in the authority to ensure information, communication and openness for greater transparency in decisions and increase accountability and effective service delivery. 10. As ex-officio chairman of Gender and Child Cell (GCC) in the PDMA, to i) Formulate strategies to protect children women, aged person and persons with disabilities ii) Make sure the inclusion of their concerned, iii) Ensure the existing social protection for them and timely response for this group iv) And to ensure the transparency in decision with regard to gender parity

. To supervise, monitor and coordinate of Development schemes in the District.2. To Coordination with provincial Government in formulating policies to computerize land record to make it more transparent 3. To Formulation of polices to improve the investigation system and manpower capacities for local rural police (Levies) by strengthening leveis station and upgrading physical infrastructures to make them effective and devise mechanism to resolve local conflicts.5. In charge of internal Audit of the District administration to ensure proper expenditure of District’s departments to make them more responsive and transparent.6. To prepare inclusive Housing policies for District Administration. 7. To prepare plans for improving existing District’s taxes and recommendation policies for new one.8. To Plan for public private partnership at local level and ensuring greater participation of local private sectors in the district governance.

Formulation, distribution and monitoring of city District Development Budget by acting as chief development agent of the district government.2. Responsible for preparation of the Budget in such a way that all social and economic sectors such Education ,Health, provision of drinking water and livestock etc get a fair share proportionate to their respective needs.3. Designing, monitoring and evaluation of Development Projects of the city Government.4. Assessment of Environmental Impact of the Development project initiated by the city District Government5. Formulation of plan for greater social and economic inclusion of all citizen including women and minorities in the District 6. Coordination and monitoring the implementation of the National Disaster Policy, provincial Disaster policy and prepare disaster Plan in the light of these policies
