I am that kid off the block…From the diverse streets of Liverpool's L8 area, I've navigated life's unpredictability, transforming chance encounters with languages and cultures into my most significant assets. As a teenager, surrounded by diversity, I inadvertently mastered English, Arabic, and Somali, which later became instrumental in connecting communities and opening doors I never envisaged entering.Over a decade, my passion for community growth and engagement has evolved from curiosity to leadership. Whether pioneering health initiatives, driving educational programmes, or amplifying marginalised voices with various organisations, my work is underpinned by empathy and innovation. A highlight of mine is the pleasure of serving as a Public Advisor to NHS England, contributing towards creating inclusive health strategies that reflect our community's and nation’s diversity.My journey has been shaped by continuous learning and a desire to bridge gaps between diverse peoples.
