As an MSSP SOC Consultant, my role involves comprehensive monitoring and detection of security-related activities across more than eight international clients. My key responsibilities include continuous monitoring of clients` environments to detect potential security threats, incidents, and anomalies. This involves leveraging provided systems and platforms to analyze the clients' security posture.Additionally, i am responsible for analyzing the clients' current cybersecurity measures, policies, and procedures to gain a deep understanding of their security landscape, including evaluating their network infrastructure, applications, data storage, and backup systems.I am also involved in creating and fine-tuning security rules within monitoring platforms to enhance detection capabilities and align with the clients' specific requirements. Furthermore, i design and implement customised dashboards to provide clients with a centralised view of their security posture for data-driven decision-making.In my role, I review the findings from analyst and assign tasks to them for further investigation and remediation. Additionally, i proactively hunt for threats within the clients' environments, focusing on host-based and user-based indicators to identify potential compromises.Staying informed about the latest vulnerabilities and emerging threat vectors to assess their potential impact on the clients' systems and take appropriate actions is another important aspect of my role. When necessary, i initiate the containment of compromised hosts and perform live response actions to mitigate the impact of security incidents.
