I work in the hospital's Emergency Department alongside physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to document their daily patient encounters and update their physician notes as needed with orders, consults, lab/radiology results, and patient updates. I also aid in facilitating the flow of information by reviewing and passing along culture and radiology reports to clinicians.

I attended weekly virtual Resident Academic Case Conferences for JSUMC's Department of Neurosurgery and the Brain Tumor Board where I was able to meet with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and learn about real-life complex medical cases as it applied to neurosurgery. I was afforded the opportunity to examine the medical history, operative notes, and imaging scans of tumor patients throughout the course of treatment with the goal of identifying shortcomings and improving patient care.

I have 70+ hours of experience clinical shadowing in a cardiologist's office where I gained extensive practical knowledge of medical procedures involving the echocardiogram, EKG, CAM monitor, cardiac stress test, venipuncture, and blood pressure cuff through direct observation of the doctor's treatment and diagnosis of hundreds of patients. I also served as a translator between medical staff and native Urdu-speaking patients, helping them communicate their symptoms and informing them about the necessary steps or procedures to follow.

I have 20+ hours of experience clinical shadowing in a pediatric dental office where I gained critical insight into the field of pediatrics and how to effectively address the unique healthcare needs of children of varying ages. I also gained extensive knowledge of diverse dental procedures and the application of imaging scans and anesthetics in dental treatment.
