My duties within the firm were to deal with customers daily who had inquiries and issues facing theirLandline and Broadband. I was a customer service representative and faced a lot of adversity andchallenges on a day-to-day basis.It consisted of me helping them with their billing, upgrades, contract end dates, renewals and issues withtheir landlines and broadband.This has taught me how to deal with uncomfortable situations, mitigate tense issues as well as ups killingme in how to solve problems in short periods of time.We also had a sales element in our role where we generated leads for our sales team to sell PayTerminals and VoIP systems. A lot of hard work, adaptation andcommunication was needed within this role due to Covid 19 and we had to adapt to new changeswhenever they came.My time at Deloitte has improved all my skills sets which I possess but more importantly it taughtadditional skills which made me more efficient and more aware on how I work.

My duties consisted of figuring out what the business needed a (Bounce Back Loan, CBIL Loan“Government schemes” or a Normal Business loan). I also use to to give customers information andupdate them on the progress of their application.

This opportunity taught me lots of office and financial skills as Iwas doing an accounting apprenticeship.My work experience was related to collated information which comprised of invoices and data fromvarious sources in the accounting function. I inputted data on to the spreadsheets to complete the taxreturns for the clients.In addition, I did service charges for companies which made me understand what goes into the day-to-day financial charges when it comes to properties.I emailed invoices to my colleagues from different vendors and when they were approved from myimmediate superior, I would place them in the documents folder with precise dates and thearea/location. This helped with referencing because this would make it easier for the finance team or anyother team to view them.
