Backup And Restore Administrator
CurrentConfiguration, monitoring, administration, and maintenance of backup infrastructure using EMC Avamar to maintain an agreed backup success.• Perform daily monitoring and management of all backup related activities, including executing restore jobs, troubleshooting failed jobs, and initiating corrective action.• Configuration of backup solution on requested servers• Create Backup Policies, Dataset, Schedules, and Retention• Backing up of production databases MSSQL, and Oracle (RAMN)• Performing standard and test restores of requested files, folders, databases, and virtual machines.• Performing disaster recovery tests• Representing Backup & Restore team in cross-department projects.• Perform diagnosis, troubleshoot, and conduct root-cause analysis for any issues escalated on the backup platform.• Performing recovery of backed up data to multiple platform clients as per customer requirements.• Logging cases to the hardware vendors getting rectified with the hardware issues.• Perform in line with agreed procedures, SLAs, and customers' expectations.• Performing Backup infrastructure reboot during maintenance activity Behaviors and attitudes consistent with the values.• Participate in the building, installation, configuration, and testing of backup infrastructure for new use, upgrades, or lifecycle replacement.• Create and update documentation for backup environments.• Creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts, groups, computer accounts, organizational units (OUs), and other objects in the directory service database• Helping end users with issues related to their accounts or computers, such as resetting passwords or troubleshooting technical problems.• Providing technical support for user problems related to Active Directory or Windows Server applications.• Manage users in Microsoft Azure Active Directory• Manage teams and user policies in Microsoft Teams• Professional skills development by participation in training and constant self-education.
