Assigned as a Control System Engineer under Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contract - Digital Equipment Technical Services at SADARA Chemical Company, Jubail, Saudi Arabia.SADARA is equipped with more than 200 PLC control systems distributed among 26 different plants.Job responsibilities:• Troubleshoot and repair of PLCs, hardware/software, and associated equipment.• Complete investigation of all PLC hardware, and associated equipment and develop prevention plan.• Perform routine maintenance and updates on control systems to ensure continued reliability and performance.• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to minimize system downtime.• Lead and support SADARA PLC technicians in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.• Diagnosis and root cause investigation of trips and failures.• Correspondence with OEMs and vendors to discuss the issue and get the solution in case of system access limitations.• PLCs hardware and associated equipment spare parts identification and recommendation.• Detailed feasibility study to provide solution for upgradation of obsoleted systems.• Technical evaluation of new projects and implementation of Management of Change (MOC) requests related to PLCs hardware and software.• Maintain detailed records of changes, configurations, and troubleshooting logs for future reference.• Create user manuals, operating procedures, and maintenance guidelines for operators and maintenance teams.• 24/7 On-Call site support.• Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.• Train SADARA personnel on control system usage, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Job responsibilities:• Design and implement control systems using PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), or DCS (Distributed Control Systems). • Write, configure, and maintain code for control systems.• Develop and configure human-machine interfaces (HMIs).• Test and validate control systems to ensure they perform as designed and meet industry standards.• Conduct factory and site acceptance tests to confirm system reliability, accuracy, and stability.• Conduct project site commissioning.• Troubleshoot and correct issues identified during testing and commissioning phases.• Update control software and firmware as necessary.• Create detailed documentation, including wiring diagrams, system schematics, and control logic diagrams.• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure control systems meet industry standards and project requirements.• Diagnose and resolve control system issues in real-time, especially in critical situations.
