NAFCEL is a CROWN affiliate, established in 1987 and developed to be one of the largest stand-alone manufacturers of Beverage Easy Open Ends (EOE) with an excellent reputation for quality and service.Reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board and GM of the Company; major roles assigned, but not limited to, include:- Leading treasury, finance, and accounting functions.- Arranging facilities from different major banks. (Portfolio worth US$ 100M). Executed and successfully managed the business and currency risk via hedging and forex deals.- Presenting financials, budgets and business plans to BOD.- Devising Business Strategy, short to medium term plans and forecasts- Controlling Cash Flow position by having rolling cash flows and cash management- Having been part of the lead of the project of exercising business valuation - Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports- Liaise internal and external audits- Communications with Tax/zakat authorities, other govt agencies- Insurance: Managing Insurable risks- Bank Relationship ManagementKey Achievements:- Restructuring the finance and accounting roles to ensure effective control environment- Advised on various aspects of the Company’s operations which resulted in cost reduction after due consideration and negotiation with multiple clients.- Streamlined various SAP processes to have more authenticity of information- Successfully implemented E-Invoicing in compliance with regulations of relevant authority- Developed management reporting tool to facilitate the management decision making by providing input to seize opportunities, enhance strengths and manage weakness through industry benchmarking, forecasting, budgeting and business acumen- Strong in presentations, commercial negotiations, and interpersonal skills. Key roles assigned include but not limited to:• Recommendation to management regarding compliance of IFRSs and other laws as applicable to the Company’s operations.• Preparing and submitting monthly and year to date financial reporting to the management.• Presenting monthly and year to date expenses variance analysis as required by the management highlighting areas of major concern.• Preparing and presenting Cash flow forecast to the management to ensure optimum availability of funds.• Creating and maintaining financial models to achieve the parameters as defined by the management.• Monitoring and managing all expenses within the approved budget before execution of any expense.• Participating in annual budget preparation activities of the Company such as defining timeline for different budget activities and gathering data from different department.• Developing and submitting annual financial budget to higher management to have necessary approvals.• Any other responsibility as assigned by reporting management of the Company.Key Achievements:• Devising policies and procedures for start-up business and ensuring their compliance in daily operations.• Devising a model for periodic Management reporting for top management.• Implementing Oracle Cloud within defined time period successfully.

A) My salient responsibilities in this role included:• Led diversified finance team ensuring timely completion of the day to day operations strictly in compliance specific policies devised by management and other local laws such as IFRSs & VAT as applicable to the entity;• Successfully implemented SAP S/4 HANA within the defined time limit by management as power user of FICO;• Finalized internal and statutory external audit without major findings of the individual entity and consolidated financial statements at group level;• Issued reporting pack on monthly and YTD basis interpreting operating results; highlighting areas of concern; specifying recommendations to management resulting cost reduction and/or profit maximization;• Executed various options of scenario planning and forecasts to facilitate strategic decisions for Board of directors.•Led the Annual budget process, coordinated with respective stakeholders and presented the final budget to top management;•Any other responsibility assigned by group CFO and GM of the CompanyB). My responsibilities as Project manager (SAP S/4 HANA) role included:•Acted as a liaison between business and the implementer in communicating effectively the business needs;•Reviewed BBP document to ensure that it was in line with current and proposed business processes;•Chart of account & cost centers designing to fulfill all business needs;•Provided master data and performed reconciliation thereof;•Successful Go-Live of SAP S/4 Hana within the time frame given by the top management.Key Achievements:• Successfully implemented SAP S/4 HANA as project manager in overall & FICO power user;• Led the implementation of IFRSs and VAT as applicable in KSA for the first time;• Obtained SIDF loan successfully - the Govt. loan granted for the development of industrial sector at lower market rate;• Evaluated various options for top management which resulted in cost reduction and/or profit maximization.

My major job responsibilities included:• Oversee day to day functions of the entity in compliance with IFRSs as adapted in KSA;• Developed a mechanism of having control over product costing; resulted in cost reduction;• Ensured all financial strategies align with overall corporate and business strategies to achieve vision of the entity;• Monitored and effectively managed the matters related to treasury, budget and dealing with banks;• Finalized external audit of the entity without major findings by the external auditors.

External audit:• Obtained geographical exposure in various sectors of the economy during secondment to KPMG Riyadh, Saudi Arabia office from Dec 2011 to Apr 2012 and then from Dec 2012 to Mar 2013.• Assessing business and audit risks and strategizing audit approach;• Review of accounting and internal control systems and identification of significant weaknesses and recommending improvements therein; and• Developing good working relationships with the client to deliver engagement expectations and providing value added services.• Planning and execution of engagements including the team supervision, training and motivation;Internal audit:• Directly managing the internal audit team assigned to various projects;• Defining the engagement scope and responding to team queries;• Reviewing audit draft reports and conducting exit meetings;• Maintaining effective professional relationships with the executive management team;• Conducting risk assessments and preparing strategic audit plans;• Preparing Board Audit Committee presentations and communicating high risk findings to board members and executive management;• Reviewing and assisting the audit team in designing the scope, work program, audit tests and report;• Updating the internal audit charter, policies, and procedures.My experience in Audit and Assurance department of the firm has enabled me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive and regulatory environments of diversified industries and the accounting and internal control systems implemented at various organizations.

During my mandatory training with KPMG in the aforementioned period, i gained extensive knowledge of external and internal auditing in various sectors.
