I dedicated two months on the site hubpages.com and got very close in getting my work published. I did different types of article writing like food blogs, parental advice and travel experience stuff

I did article writing , recipe writing and got more then 15 publications on their site. This helped me in finding my passion which is writing and helped me improve alot.
