Responsible for Business Planning & Budgeting, Financial Accounting & Corporate Secretarial Compliance, Tax & Treasury, Operations Finance & Leaf Controlling and Internal Controls & Audit.

This position was reporting to Director Financial Planning & Corporate Reporting PMI, with major responsibilities of global cost & management reporting, global volume reporting, data governance, supporting the controlling team in East Asia & Australia Region. This assignment was mainly to gain the global perspective and help build the network for further career advancement in the company.

This position was reporting to Director Sales with an accountability of managing SINDH Province having 5 Sales Regions and 24 areas in Urban & Rural part of the Zone and managing the team of 42 employees. This cross functional move was mainly driven from the Talent Review process to help develop the Commercial knowledge which is required to take over more Senior Roles in the company.

This position is functionally reporting to Director Finance with a dotted line reporting to Managing Director to help the company in the strategy formulation and generating business development ideas. Major responsibility being the following:-Business Intelligence; Provide relevant, holistic, accurate and timely analytics / advisory on the latest business results and trends Volume forecasting & Analysis; Define commercially and financially sound forecast for sales volumes and monitor / report on business performance-Pricing; Define competitive and successful pricing strategies for our portfolio and monitor business performance-Consumer trend & analysis, potential growth segments & oppurtunities

1. Performance of the detailed annual internal controls risk assessment to identify the areas subject to review and submission of the same to Regional Headquarters. Internal Controls team performs approx. 12 audit reviews every year.2. Compliance with PMI Fiscal Compliance Program which includes, performance of vendor & customers review and sanction checks, sales volume monitoring and acceptable forms of payments. Overseeing the process of Governance Reporting review highlighting the expenses incurred by employees to entertain Govt. Officials (US & non US). 3. Overseeing the compliance with SOX program, documenting controls, performance of walkthrough, interim testing and year testing.4. Overseeing the process of system SOD conflicts, review of sensitive transactions and mitigating controls in place. This also includes review of master data and configuration changes.5. On a quarterly basis, report to audit committee with an update on the audit progress and highlight the issues noted. 6. Managing a team of fourteen (14) people. 1. Managed two big & important markets, from the region perspective, Australia being the OCI market and Pakistan being the volume market2. Preparation of the presentation for the investor day, employee web cast, quarterly business review, budget and other ad-hoc presentations5. Competitive Strategies Workshop in Australia. Coordinated with PMI, the consultant (Fuld) and the market for the workshop. Australia was one of the pilot markets.My major achievements during this role include:-This was my development assignment where I learnt PMI budgeting process. During the assignment, I looked after two major Asia markets one being Pakistan and other Australia-Participated in the regional submission of monthly business updates and performance commentary-I was also responsible for preparation of the monthly management book for Regional President, VP Finance and VP Marketing & Sales-I was involved in the various presentation for the Regional President and VP Finance-I was involved in the Competitive Strategies Workshop in Australia where I coordinated with PMI Head Quarters team , the consultant and the market for the workshop. No / few balances in over 60 days. Errors on claim forms reduced by introducing distributor visits.
