● Tasked with resurrecting the group following Covid-19 and an SU restructure leaving this area without staff support. Recruited a committee, defined key strategic priorities, and planned the year ahead● Currently developing a 5-year plan to include KPIs, priorities and resources for future committees● Working with the university to create an institution-wide volunteering strategy, based on the paper I wrote last year, which was approved by the University Executive Board’s Civic and Regional Committee● Organised charity club nights, a foodbank collection and helped lead on the UoN Movember 2022 campaign which raised over £85,000

Part of a team of 8 Full-Time Officers, making strategic and policy decisions to shape the direction of the Students' Union• Full-time, paid role, requiring me to take a sabbatical year from my studies. I was an Executive Director and Trustee of the Union• Primary representative of the UoN student body to media groups and external institutions, such as the city council and police, working with them to improve student safety and community cohesion. I drove citywide improvements in safety in the Night-Time Economy, and was the UoNSU lead on devising a roadmap to achieve the goals of the pioneering ‘Universities for Nottingham’ Civic Agreement• Lobbied university stakeholders on matters such as housing - notably, I negotiated record rent refunds for students in subpar accommodation, and secured a 50% reduction of the planned rise in halls prices• Worked with members of the University Executive Board (UEB) such as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, and sat on UEB committees, ensuring student voice was heard in high-level, strategic decision-making• Was the SU representative on the Strategy and Delivery Board for the University's new £30 million campus - helped set out the core objectives and the short and long-term plans for the site• Organised a blood donation session on campus!• Brokered a six-figure deal to sell over 10,000 SU hoodies to the university, one for every new student living in halls of residence• Gave away half my salary as promised through the Community Officer fund! This was allocated to student groups such as Souprunners, UoN Co-Responders and Enactus Nottingham's Empower project and funded great charity events such as SB Fest

I sat on the Trustee Board and its Finance, Risk and Compliance sub-Committee. I took a special interest in strengthening the Union's precarious financial position and gained the board's approval for a new long-term investment strategy

Key achievements included securing the cancellation of an exam that many students would not have been able to attend due to Covid-19, as well as fulfilling my campaign promise to secure cheap hoodies for School of Economics students.
