As a Senior Software Engineer received an opportunity to work on extending NAS support for On-premise Vendor using NAS (NFS / SMB) protocol.• Implemented core APIs and infrastructure required to add support for NAS vendors. • Periodically synced with the team to update API query, payload, and responses as per requirements. • Creating snapshot diffs fetching required fields from vendor APIs and providing incremental diffs when required, while paginating the response based on queries.• Worked with a team to extend support for multiple On-Premise Storage Array vendors for NAS and SAN. As a software engineer, got opportunity to work in supporting IAM Role based configuration for AWS, enabling efficient deployment in a cloud environment. • I worked on identifying cloud locations and roles using cloud location identifier APIs and established trust between roles in different accounts to extend support to cross-account protection.• In addition, I had implemented the licensing module.• The licensing service for the product offers various options, including metering and accounting parameters based on disk size for snapshots or instances.• To manage licenses, feature toggles have been added to check the license type and to produce an error if consumption exceeds the licensed limit.• We do have segregated features base Enterprise and Freemium licensing consumption.• The licensing service also supports different license co-existence scenarios and different license bucketing strategies.• Another area that i worked on was snapshot tagging for cloud vendors, which is essential to identify snapshots based on usage type and help in optimize costs effectively. • I have incorporated API changes to address single snapshot protection as well as assets part of protection group policies.• I also had an opportunity to contribute on telemetry functionality to gather data on product usage, including a data asset model based on the vendors being used and gathered data based on the deployed location Cloud vendor.• To provide customers with greater control over the telemetry data, I have implemented options to select the telemetry data that is collected, including the ability to disable telemetry data collection entirely for enterprise license customers.
